Bali’s World Class Surf

Bali has two surf seasons. First, the popular dry winter season from June to October where the offshores create perfect lines at breaks like Uluwatu, Padang Padang, Airports, Balangan, Dreamland, Kuta and Medewi on the west coast. There’s also the wet, rainy season with fewer crowds from November to March where the offshores switch, creating world class waves on east coast breaks like Keramas, Hyatt Reef, Sanur, Serangan and Nusa Dua. Each season has its gems.

In terms of difficulty, each coast has both expert and beginner waves. Most intermediate and expert waves break over reef, but there are also beach breaks that can break as nicely as any wave in the world with the right conditions.

If you want to avoid the crowds, your surf guide will take you to uncrowded breaks that only locals know about. Hush hush as these secret spots (yes, Bali still has a few) need to remain secret.

Three days at The Bodhi Leaf is a great way to begin a surf vacation. We’ll give you all the local knowledge to break out on your own afterward if you want. Take a ride up the coast to explore other surf gems or head off to world famous G-Land just across the channel.

There is a lot to do and see in Bali from cultural & spiritual tours of Ubud, Uluwatu, Kintamani, Bedugal and Eastern Bali to adventure activities like surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, jungle trekking and white water rafting. Our complimentary concierge service will help to arrange tours and activities according to your preference.

What kind of payment options do you have?

We use PayPal’s secure payment platform to accept credit and debit card payments. You do not need to have a PayPal account to use this free service. You can also send money via bank transfer. Please contact for more payment options.

Is Bali Safe?

Bali has virtually no violent crime. The people are as friendly as any place on earth. They smile and laugh easily. You are almost always welcome to their private rituals as they are very proud of their culture and eager to share with westerners. It is very likely that any amount of time here will produce lifelong friendships with any number of locals.

Indonesia has one of the fastest growing economies in the developing world and the government is stable.

I’m on a restricted diet. Can your chef prepare food for my special needs?

Yes. Let us know beforehand of particular allergies or dietary restrictions. Our chef can prepare vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, raw, detox and other types of cuisine with amazing variety for your particular needs.

Can I book more nights?

Yes. This retreat is scheduled for 3 nights, but if you want to add more, we’re happy to accommodate you. We’ll work with your custom schedule, whether it includes adding or subtracting nights.
